Such achievement comes in the framework of the COVID-19 recovery plan, it said, pointing out that the different types of surgical specialties topped by general surgery by 20% followed by obstetrics and gynecology surgery 16%, then eye surgery by 13%.
It noted that strategic plans have been developed to recover from the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic on its health services, whereas the Secondary and Specialized Care Center of the National Health Command Center follows up and monitors routine surgery waiting lists, ensures delivery of services and rescheduling of surgery within 36 days, which is one of MOH’s objectives to improve easy access to the health services.
