Training On 'Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation'

The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has set up a special pavilion in the Avenues Mall during which its paramedics have briefed and trained many citizens and residents on “cardiopulmonary resuscitation”, and how to provide urgent assistance to people in their surroundings who may be suffering a heart attack. The training comes at a time when statistics from the World Health Organization indicate that heart disease constitutes 16% of the causes of death globally. 

The event was attended by Dr Mariam Ibrahim Al Hajri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Health, Member of the Board of Directors of the Association Dr Faisal Radhi Al Musawi, Secretary General of the Association Mr Mubarak Al Hadi, Dr Kawthar Al Eid, Head of the First Aid Committee at the Society, Ms Fatima Abdul Rahman, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, and several members of the Committee, with the participation of the Royal Charity Foundation, the Paralympic Committee, the General
Authority for Sports, in addition to clubs, sports federations and civil society institutions.
