The UAE announced on Sunday three new monkeypox cases, as the country’s health authorities closely monitor the disease.

Members of the community are being urged by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) to take safety and preventative measures while traveling or when surrounded by large crowds.

MoHAP has reassured the public that the UAE’s health authorities are taking all the necessary measures to investigate, examine and monitor the health of those infected and their close contacts.

Officials urged the public to obtain information from the country’s official sources and to refrain from spreading rumors or false information.
