Health Ministry: Over 5 thousand patients with kidney failure are at death risk



The Ministry of Public Health and Population has warned of a humanitarian catastrophe that threatens the lives of more than five thousand patients with renal failure, as a result of the depletion of solutions and medicines for patients with renal failure.

The Health Ministry Undersecretary for the therapeutic medicine sector, Dr. Ali Jahaf, confirmed in a press conference held in Sana'a today, Saturday, that Yemen stands today on the threshold of a real catastrophe that threatens the lives of more than five thousand patients with kidney failure, with the depletion of dialysis drugs from the ministry's stores.
In the press conference devoted to informing the public about the impact of running out of dialysis solutions and drugs in treatment centers specialized in patients with kidney failure. Jahaf said: "This is not the first conference, and we have held more than one conference, and we have been warned of a humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of thousands of dialysis patients in various provinces but there is no response."
