The Ministry of Health confirmed on Sunday, that Iraq is one of the areas of low endemic of AIDS, noting that the rate of infections in the country is low.
The ministry's spokesman, Saif al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "AIDS is a disease that exists in all countries of the world, and Iraq was and still is within the areas of low endemism according to the approved epidemiological classifications."
