Qatar Charity signs an agreement with OCHA to provide water in Yemen

Qatar Charity's office in Yemen signed an agreement with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs "OCHA" with a value of more than 1.3 million Qatari riyals, to implement a project to provide emergency water and environmental sanitation services for the most vulnerable groups of the displaced and the host community in Abs district, Hajjah governorate in Yemen.

It is expected that more than 9,156 beneficiaries will benefit from the project through the supply, installation, and operation of a solar-powered desalination plant with a capacity of 30 cubic meters, the rehabilitation of a well, the store, and installation of a solar pump, the construction of an armed tower tank, in addition to the provision of a water network for the displaced and the host community, the establishment of a standard water point, the construction of bathrooms and the distribution of bags Cleanliness.
